"My interests in the human figure, filtered through imagination and experience, are the subject of my paintings. They depict the human form in a number of its infinite manifestations. Through the use of color and dramatic setting, I hope to reveal a psychological and emotional reality. Influences have been many including the work of Soutine, Otto Dix, and every painting that I have ever seen in an Italian church"
